Findings

This paper had three aims. It sought to provide a general overview of the emerging creative industry policy issues at various levels.  Then it demonstrated the opportunities and possibilities of developing local creative industries through a combination of intellectual property protection measures, promoting the industry’s export potential, aiding workspace development and financing. Finally it presented an individual case study in order to distil important policy lessons and issues from an established example of a successful creative industry.
