As part of the greenwash debate on Friday evening, Sophie Thomas (thomas.matthews) showed the above image. It really makes you think twice about our consumer culture, when the general public recognise the beauty of a blank billboard.

I really like the concept behind this. It is incredible how we take it for granted to have images and products shoved in our faces; all these subliminal, subconcious messages. It is the ones that go against the grain that really make us stop and think…
And it is a definately more of a ‘joy’ to look at that than most of the ‘beautiful’ and ‘clever’ billboards designs companies spend thousands of pounds on.
