Sarah Weir is currently Head of Arts and Cultural Strategy for Olympic Delivery Authority and Launch Director of Cultural Olympiad for London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games.
She started as office junior in a Lloyds broking firm ending up as Managing Director. She did a History of Art Degree part-time at Birkbeck, moving out of the City into the arts; working at Purdy Hicks Gallery, then as Deputy Chief Executive at Arts & Business, Fundraising Director at Royal Academy of Arts and Executive Director at Almeida Theatre. Another move took her to Executive Director of Arts Council England, London. She is a Stonewall trustee and non-executive director of Communities and Local Government Department.
