Christopher Pett established Pli in 2003. Pli is an industrial design and manufacturing company that specialises in producing new furniture designs for domestic and contract markets, using sustainable materials and processes. Pli was founded with the aim of establishing a centre of excellence in UK manufacturing for sustainable business practice and product development.

Pli makes chairs, tables, benches and cabinets for a variety of markets. All Pli’s products are made with the most sustainable materials available, without sacrificing style, function or value. Pli collaborates with a large network of design partners, manufacturing partners and material suppliers in order to bring sustainable designs to market.

Christopher is responsible for business development, research, partnerships and finance. Before starting to make bamboo and wood furniture by hand in 2003, Christopher spent 6 months in Australia and India researching bamboo growing and process techniques. Since then he’s specialised in developing new concepts for sustainable product design and manufacture.
