Andrea Koerselman co-leads the Service Design and Innovation practice at IDEO London. She joined IDEO Palo Alto in 2001 as a senior designer and mechanical engineer and has since been involved in all stages of product and service development, from strategy to implementation. 

With over 15 years experience, Andrea has led strategic innovation projects across a wide range of industries, from healthcare and nutrition to consumer products and financial services. At IDEO, she also works on the integration of human-centred innovation into the culture of client organisations.  Her clients include the NHS, Nestlé, Numico, Pepsi, Procter & Gamble, Steelcase, UBS and Zyliss. 

Sustainability and social responsibility are increasingly important issues for design, business and society as whole. At IDEO London, Andrea leads the initiative to apply a human-centred approach to these issues. 

Andrea is often invited to speak on innovation, and the integration of sustainability and design. Passionate about design and education, she has taught courses at Stanford University and at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. She has also given lectures at the Central School of Art and Design in London.
