Helen Hughes is Client Director for Sustainability at Design Bridge. Helen’s mission is to support both Design Bridge itself and its clients in their efforts to make preserving the earth’s resources their next big business priority.
Helen believes that brands can and should play a vital role in helping consumers to make sustainable choices and to move towards an overall more sustainable lifestyle. She fervently believes that trusted brands can influence and shape changes in consumer behaviour every bit as much as Government or the media ever can and her Holy Grail is for sustainable design solutions to become ‘business as usual’.
A graduate in Design Marketing, Helen has a solid background in packaging design, from window blinds and fine art materials to FMCG, so she understands the discipline from a grass-roots level. Before joining Design Bridge, she was a Project Manager and Packaging Design Advisor to WRAP, the Government funded organisation. There she worked with retailers, brands and their supply chains to develop best practice with regard to sustainable packaging design.
